Drone Wars

The next bit of big news is that I bought a drone. OK.....it is really not that geeky. I have been jonesing for one these past few months, and went through all the research to find out what was what. I ended up buying the new DJI Vision 2 Plus. Some of the cool things about this drone are that it has its own camera mounted to a gimbal below the copter. With this gimbal, the camera stays absolutely steady even when shooting video or getting buffeted by wind. Range on the drone is almost half a mile, and it will come back to its original take off spot if you end up losing contact with it. The truth is, it is hard to fly for an old cat like me. I really don't spend my days playing video games or driving remote control cars, so it takes practice. My kids are naturals with it of course. I am really looking forward to flying it in exotic fishing locations where I can get some great perspective from above. Here are some photos showing what it looks like, and a few photos taken locally.
