New Product Showcase 2015

I thought I would get out some info on new products that will be offered by my manufacturers for the coming 2015 season. This list is long.....but not complete. I will make another post in the next day or two with additions.

GALVAN:

Last year, the new BROOKIE reel from Galvan did pretty well. For a limited usage style reel, people really reacted to it. Much higher hopes come with the new offering for 2015 from Galvan. Without a name yet, and styling decisions still to be made, I have a sample of what they have been working on. Built upon the long tradition and reliability of the Torque, this new reel has a completely sealed drag, with a hub that will be available in multiple colors. The drag adjustment on this reel is smoother than the Torque, and has an incredibly wide adjustment for drag pressure. I think this is going to be a great reel for Galvan.

Fishpond: Wow, lots of changes at Fishpond for this coming year. To highlight, a complete make-over for the WestWater series, new tools, new nets, and much more to offer in T-Shirts, Caps, Stickers, and Display pieces. In addition, Fishpond has entered in to relationships with two other Rocky Mountain companies who have like-minded outdoor products. One is Chaco, where Fishpond will have two co-branded styles, and the other Voormi, where Fishpond will offer 3 co-branded pieces.

Westwater: The new offering in the Westwater series offers a much lighter exterior fabric, that is less “boardy” and more appealing. It also does not hold any water (or wet out) which the previous fabric had a tendency to do. Following are just a few photos.......there are many more items still available in this series.

More New Stuff........

Vaquero Vest in lightweight nylon

Delta Sling....can be worn equally over either shoulder, and holds everything....including a pistol!

Another size available in the Dakota Carry-on this year. Everyone has been asking for one that will hold Spey and/or Switch rods. Now, you have it.

The Stowaway Reel Case had slowed in sales these past years. A great replacement, is the lighter, simpler, and less expensive Sweetwater Reel and Gear Case.

Fishpond really stepped it up with accessories for this season. Following are photos of the new Sushi Roll Streamer Holder, the Confluence Net Release, Headgate Tippet Holder, Barracuda Razor Clippers, and Sunscreen Products.

The Nomad Net series has been a huge success for Fishpond. New this season are 3 additional styles. First is the Native, which is a catch and release shape for a wading angler. After that are the 2 El Jefe nets, both made with a stronger and more angular opening to the net bag.

Fishpond has been working hard to develop relationships with like-minded Rocky Mountain companies. Two of these are Chaco and Voormi. Together, these high-profile outdoor companies will co-brand products with Fishpond to offer through fishing retailers.

Chaco Flip and Z2 Sandles......

From Voormi, the Access Pullover and High-E Hoodie for both men and women...

New T-Shirt Designs......

New Caps.......

New Stickers......

New P.O.P and Fixtures.....

From Cortland: Cortland has been hard at work on several new lines, some of which will address our fishing in the Northwest. They still have a way to go on making these lines exactly as they want them, but here is a preview. I will get samples as they finalize lines, and will hope to have them for you to see and to cast. In addition to the lines, Cortland is adding to their offering of colors in Micron Backing......this year......Hot Pink!

Imperial: Hats are now a really important product for me. Who ever would have thought that?!! The truth is, I have both you and Imperial to thank for this. When I took over Imperial three years back, they were doing about $4000 annually in this territory. For this last tackle year, that amount increased to over $100,000! Thanks very much! The good news for me is, I can still add a lot to that amount. Here are some new styles Imperial has coming out for 2015….
